Title: Information Security Liaison site Project Description: The Office of Mental Health is the central office for many mental hospitals state-wide. There was an internal Information Security Liaison site that was a disorganized unattractive jumble of information and links. My task was to remake the page with better organization and a modern dynamic feel.
Issues: All OMH web pages must conform to state-wide accessibility standards, as well as strict proprietary OMH guidelines. The pages must be compliant with current web standards and state accessibility.
Solutions: I met with the head of web publishing within OMH on several occasions to create a plan for execution. I researched accessibility and JavaScript enough to find a solution that would provide a dynamic menu effect yet still allow for full accessibility. I validated the HTML source code with W3C. I presented my site alternative to the authority and received approval.
Software/Skills: Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop. I needed research skills to learn both Accessibility and Dynamic HTML well enough to create a solution to the problem.
