Title: Freedom to Dance Project Description: I worked with a partner on putting together a twelve minute video documentary on a topic of our choosing. We looked at the human love for dancing and concentrated on Techno music. I was the technical member of the group.
Issues:
Camera and software issues caused massive technical difficulties. Incompatible software and hardware forced us to search for solutions.
Creating a video script for the documentary.
Solutions: I was able to find a work-around for each technical disaster. I had to convert and re-encode the video multiple times, in different labs, to acquire something we could use with the software. I needed to use various other tools to achieve the final product. I learned more about different video codecs. We had a draft of the script when white recording, and the final after we had finished most of our edits.
Software/Skills: iMovie. Video script writing. Digital recording and editing. Digital camera knowledge. Creative and imaginative editing skills to put together an effective and coherent documentary.
