Title: “Cat, Email, Password, Token,…” Project Description: Create several original posters to convey various information security concepts. Concepts include issues on passwords, email, viruses, tokens, ect. Posters to be distributed at over 20 mental hospitals across the state.
Issues: Finding catchy ideas that had a clear and simple message. The target audience was very specific. They are mostly older doctors and nurses who don’t have a lot of computer experience. Their sense of humor is also dryer and less accepting than that of the younger generation.
Solutions: Listen to the thought process of the target audience. I took a little tour through the nearest hospital were these posters may be implemented to get a feel for the environment and the people who would see them. I had many conversations with my supervisor about who these people were and what would be effective for them. I created many different designs and only a select few were chosen as being completely acceptable and useful.
Software/Skills: Adobe Photoshop. Flexibility to adapt to the specific needs of the client and target audience.
